IAudio X5 - anybody has it?

Who cares if it's only up to level 2? Just re-ecode at -l 2 in foobar. It takes ~3 secs per song, losing ~2% compression. Big deal. If you want compression you use MA.

BTW, flac files > Batteries. Simple but true.

How is the sound signature compared to the iPod (3G, if you want to be specific). I love the iPod's laid back, neutral sound signature and my PX100s sound great with it. I really want the X5 and plan to sell off my iPod, but sonically, is it worth it? I know it is a well reputed brand, but I have no clue about the JetAudio/Cowon/iAudio series as far as sound quality goes.

Depends a bit on codec, but nearly every major player supports MP3 VBR if that's what you're asking.

Yeah, its still a little over 30$ cheaper than buying it from cowonamerica.com That means i can even grab the 20 case and still be 10$ better off than just buying the player alone!
