Iaudio U2 1GB: AC Charging using Ipod USB charger

I want to get the Iaudio U2 1GB flash player. Sadly, it does not come with a bundled AC adapter to charge the player directly from a wall outlet. I happen to have one of those Ipod USB adapter chargers. Theoretically, I can take the USB cable (with the U2 plugged into the other end) and plug it into the Ipod charger. Do you think it will charge it SAFELY or even work? I just want to save money and not spend it on another adapter. If you have done this before and your U2 is charged fine and is fully functional, please reply. Thanks!

what's the output rating of the ipod's USB adapter..? volts/amps

if it's putting out standard USB power (under 500ma) it should be alright

I did get the 2Gb version. Didn`t check the box on the 1Gb.

Agree if standard USB adapter then most should work. But Have no others to test.

Mine says Jet Adapter Output DC 5V, 1.2A

TWO gb? Are you kidding?

I thought fitting 1GB into this tiny thing was an accomplishment (I love mine!).
