I went to a meeting today with the head of the UNO library science department, in which we went over what it would take for me to begin a Library Science Masters Degree.

After doing a lot of soul-searching, I just don't think I'm cut out for teaching. I do, however, want to help with research and study. I also enjoy cataloging and organizing things (I was very neat as a child).

I guess, is anyone else out there a Music Librarian, or just a librarian, and could they give me some tips? Some things I should watch out for, etc...

Thanks,

Nylan

I'm in the process of building a digital archive for a non-profit educational organization. To me, the most important thing about being an archivist is to know the people who use your library, know what they are looking for, and know how they want it organized. Access is everything and too many archivists are so caught up in making everything fit the organization scheme in their head, they make it difficult on the end users.

Good luck!

See ya
Steve
