Yeah, ears tend to have slightly different "frequency response curves". Both of my ears are good, but my left ear is slightly more sensitive to treble, changing the balance towards left.

But if the imbalance is quite strong, it is possible there is something wrong in your other ear. It might be nothing worse than wax build-up though, so get your ears checked. You might get your hearing checked too.
