they sent it back with blue portapro drivers! i can't remember how the ksc35s sounded like as they'd been spoilt for some time, but the sound is recessed, muddled and dont sound as detailed as it could be. but then, i've been listening to ms1 and rs1 for months.

Maybe, it's because you old pair were burn in more? or maybe your memory of the ksc35 is faulty since you've been listening to grados.

I wonder If you wash off the titanium coat of a ksc75 would it sound like a ksc35
I like to non coated drivers much more.

i did the replacement in the UK. the replacement was done by koss's agent, hama. r the drivers the same? can any1 confirm this? because my memory of ksc35 certainly wont be reliable!

They should be the same. Try to burn them in.

Yup. Give'em some burn in time. I replaced the drivers many times on my porta's (destroyed a few pairs while modding) and each time i noticed the bloatness settles down after some abuse (aka burn in).
