Oh, and kudos to Circuit City btw. They let me try them in the store, and I loved them. I mean, there are some issues (sloppy bass is one of them), but they are leaps and bounds above anything I have had before.

I mean, in a few months, maybe I'll opt for some Audio-Technica ATH-A900's.

I have a pair of the HD212's and you do just pull to remove from the headphone. You have my word that they will not tear.

I am sorry, I thought you had said ear cushions not ear cups. My fault. You slide them to the top slot and then push up and out and they should pop out.

I never had issues with my 212s and earcup removing. I just transported them in a backpack or around my neck. Don't worry too much about them, they're a pretty tough pair of cans.

Well, I just tried moving the earcups to the top and pulling as hard as I could, and then they just came off. Don't be afraid to yank really hard. They're well constructed
