I wrote in an earlier post that I'm trying to hook up some Event PS6 monitors to my imac. They were hooked up to my K-88 Kurzweil keyboard and sounded fine. I just tried running a mini jack to a y connector with rca's with two
1/4" adaptors on each. All I'm getting is loud-ish static upon connection on both, very low volume when the 1/4" are like half-way in, and no sound at all
when the connections are tight.
Are the cables bad?
Is there some other technical reason that I'm not aware of signal wise?
Do I have a shot at success if I buy these? It's a direct connection as opposed to those adaptors,so I'm hoping that will be the key.
