Hey what's up guys. I am still new to headphones but I have used both the beats pro and ultrasone 580 before. I had them for a little but sold them dues to not really enjoying them and the extra profit. But I need a new headphone for gaming movies and music. I use an astro mixamp for gaming. I play light cod and a ton of sports games. I just need headphones with a detachable cable so I can use my extra beats cable or even a detachable Mic doesn't matter. I also need a pair of headphones good for movies. I like the feeling you get in an Imax theater in these headphones. I also listen to a lot of hip hop rap like jay z French Montana and sort of mainstream stuff lol. But I have a 300 dollar budget. I can either get one or two different phones. I would prefer getting one really good pair. Any suggestions???

For gaming I like my AD700's. They do well for movies too, but they wont give you IMAX type sound.

They do not have a detachable cable, but should otherwise service all your needs,

Audio Technica ATH-AD900X headphones, $200.

Any other help? Should I just get crossfade lp2's for the gym and music and then another set for movies and gaming? I can get the lp2's for 120. Has anyone else considered wireless? What about pulse elite with my mixamp? I am on Xbox but since I have the mixamp any cpu headphones will work with my mixamp pretty much.

I mean I am a complete basshead tbh. I can get the lp2s for 120-140 and m100 for 220

As i said, i consider the M100 to be a much superior headphone, the LP's just didn't do it for me. But if you want more bass (not that the M100 is lacking any), well then the LP2 might be it for you.

If you can find the m100's for $220, thats totally worth it. And yes you can plug them to any source and they'll be fine thanks to the low impedence.

Rap with AD700s and AKGk701s are the worst recommendation anyone can give you. They are totally not meant for those genres.
For Gaming is fine..  due to the openness you'll need to identify positional locations. Bass is not going to help you in COD.

+100 for the M100s for your music preference. +1 AD700 for gaming.
