I'm looking for full sized, closed headphones. I normally listen to music on my MacBookAir, digital files and Spotify subscription, and I have an RME Babyface with a USB connection that I plug my headphone into (used for a recording interface but it has excellent digital audio conversion and amplification).
 
I mostly listen to jazz, but also almost everything else occasionally. I also do some home recording and simple mixing. I have gone through two pairs of Bose noise canceling headphones (I don't need noise canceling for this application) and I hope to improve the sound quality without going crazy $wise. Budget - up to $400, but $300 or less would be preferable unless there was a significant sound quality improvement.
 
A friend has suggested Sennheiser Momentum headphones.
 
Q - Any other suggestions?

I went with a pair of Momentums. They sound good and I think the fit will be OK. A little snug compared to my old Bose but I like them.
