My main home headphone today is the Denon D5000, and I love it.

But, when the wife watches tv/listens to the radio or whatever in the same room, I feel that I need some phones with quite at bit more isolation as well.

The first phones that spring to mind is a pair of Dart Beyers, but what other alternatives are there?

Well for a lot less moolah than the Darth's I would recommend Senn HD25-1 II. Sound great for the price and isolate almost fully.

Yes, great phones, and I use them as my portables. But, I want more of that sweet, sweet high-endish sound of the Denons.

As great as the Sennheisers are, they can not, in my opinion, compete with the Denons .
