Personally, I will suggest k371 if don't have anything. But did you consider dt 880? If you always wear the headset, the dt 880 is better.

Do you own the AKG K371, DT770, DT990 headphones or are you planning on buying one of those headphones?
For audio production (mixing, editing, creating, etc.), check out the Sony MDR-V6 and MDR-7506 headphones
They have a more neutral sound, less biased in the sound.
Where as the DT770/DT990 are more for music enjoyment (but more biased for audio production).

No, but I had tried the AKG k371 and AKG 712 pro from my friends. Currently, I'm wearing the IEMs, so maybe I will consider the headset in the future. But many people suggest me AKG 712 pro.

What DAC/amp or sources will you be plugging the headphones into?

I don't use both. Currently, I had Fiio x7 mark ii as my DAP, and I think it is enough for me. My friend used the Schiit Ragnarok 2. I guess he has other headsets too, but what I mean is I only hear two of them. So, I don't know if there is enough information to help you! Also, his headsets are too expensive to me,lol.
