I am a bit embarrased to even post something on this site. Everyone is full of audio information and you all seem like pros.

I am having difficulty choosing a headphone.  I want full sized, around the ears headphones. This is my first time posting here and I want to get to know more about headphones and own my own cherished one. Can someone help me see my options for very nice headphones?

My price range is 90-120. I listen to mostly trance, metal, electronic pop and alternative rock. I use my phone to listen to music (HTC G2 if you need to know) and I love and prefer audio canceling

I used to own some 50$ phillips headphones I bought at target, so you can see, i have really little standards and I would like to own really good headphones for once.

Please help me.

No problem :) but you will see right now that I am not a pro because I have never dealed with cans with audio canceling. That's why I have to say goodbye :(((.

Maybe it is helpful to ask this in the portable rig thread.

ouhhh I am sorry. You are right of course. I mean maybe it is helpful to ask in the Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XIV] thread because this thread is frequently visited or maybe you can send a PM to dfkt. I think he has a very good knowledge concerning portable gear. (Hopefully it is allowed to make suggestions of persons :) ).
