Hello,

Do you have a specific budget? I personally like the UE6000 a lot for your use, otherwise, the AH-D600 by Denon is also recommended. Price ratio to performance wise, the UE6000 wins specially at the discontinued price tag [Less than $100]. The AH-D600 offer better resolution thought.

Hope it helps!

You can read about the UE6000s here: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/surprisingly-good-logitec-ue6000-and-ue9000 Good review that will explain a lot about them.

I think they are very good headphones for ~$100 or less. :)

I personally do not recommend Bose nor SolRepublic. If you are looking for something that is around those design, I go for UE6000 or HD439. HD439 is better but offers less isolation. Momentum is even better depending on your budget :)

I like Sol Republic because they are awesome at electronic music, and with viper4android everything else. I got mine for 56 and used my tracks headband and cable. The cables are really fragile though.

Bose SoundTrue Headphones Around-Ear Style, On these headphones when I first saw them, I just from the picture on the box they look a lot like the QC fifteens.
After unboxing you know I’ve using them for a while a little bit differently.

UE6000 a definite win. Can leave the Active-NC-EQ off for balanced sound, and turn it on for the genres the thread-starter-gentleman mentioned.

Moreover, I got mine for $56 at the then-current low price from Amazon Germany. A veritable steal at that price.
