-That will sync with my iPod Nano 2nd Gen
-Import my iTunes library
-Manages files similar iTunes… when you import files it automatically arranges them into artist, album folders, etc.
-When editing metadata, gives the options “Skip when shuffling” and “Gapless Playback” for playing on my iPod.
-Supports Visualization plugins
-Supports all popular formats: MP3, MP4/AAC, OGG, WMA, FLAC
-Integrates well with the look and feel of Windows XP. I might be able to compromise on this one if the gui isn't sluggish like iTunes and not too wild looking. I'd prefer an unskinned GUI though.

A long list of wanted features you got.
I think Songbird have most of them, so might be worth a try.

Songbird - Open Source Music Player

I know its long list of features. A program that does all of these things probably doesn't exist. I'd really like to be able to break away from iTunes and just use one program, but I guess I'll just have to continue using a combination of iTunes and Foobar. Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Foobar allows you to add fields under the the properties>metadata tab. Anyone know if its possible to add "gapless playback" and "skip when shuffling" fields that will be recognized by iTunes/iPod players?
