I need an introductory, non-shouty <$200 open or semi-open set to run off of my Atom stack

I am currently running an AKG K371 off of this Atom stack. I find it to be harsh and shouty in many songs, in a way that causes a lot of fatigue. I also own a Takstar Pro 80 which does not have this problem. The mids are a tad flat in this headset, but comboing it with the Atom stack is fatigue free for the most part. I'd like decent (but not exaggerated) detail and soundstage, with good separation.

I have been recommended the Koss UR40 and am also considering the Philips SHP-9600. I am open to suggestions.

Also, I used to own higher end stuff in the past, but my upgrade path was so wrong that I can't really use the experience here.

I'd personally say forget the SHP-9600, go to the X2HR if going Philips, or if you want something a little more toward true neutral, Drop HD6XX (technically $220; if it must be under $200, the 58X is $170). AKG Q701 would be another option (used). If you'd rather do planars, Drop HE4XX / 5XX.

No experience with planars yet. I'd like to stick with non planar for the time being. I might be able to extend towards the HD6XX, although another person mentioned the HD560s.
