FWIW I really think that the MS1 sounds alot different than the MS2i...like almost a different sound signature even...

How good can the MS-1 sound? Would they be worth spending another $100 to have Larry recable them? How about another $200 to have them woodified and recabled? At that point they'ed be the same price as the MS-2i. With a better cable, chambers, and grills would they have improved clarity and extension while retain their fun sound?

Well, those are subjective and personal questions that only you and your ears can answer...

But to me, since I prefer the MS1 over the MS2i, yeah it would be worth getting over the stock MS2i.....
