I have the AKG Q701's and the Ultrasone Pro 900's... both driven with the Fiio E7/E9 combo. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do now. I could either get a decent speaker set up or maybe a new amp?

Heya,

Is there something lacking that you're looking for? You have everything covered with the q701 and pro900 really. My first response is to suggest selling them and going high end. Or, definitely enter the world of speakers if you're able, but get ready for real expense if you go that route.

Those headphones are already good in covering a wide range of genres. The next option in the headphone world are the top tier, lcd-2, t1, he-500 but honestly you might be happier with a speaker setup in that price bracket.

I was thinking of that. I guess I'll go post in the speaker forums and see if I can find something decent entry level.. unless you have any ideas?
