Im running Win7 Home 32. Can I use this disc to upgrade?

If so, how?

I've never had to do a clean install before. I have an external hard drive.

No clue what to do and I've Googled it all and am still apprehensive.

You can do the 64 bit upgrade install so long as your 32 bit Win 7 is a full install. If not, you'll have to install XP or Vista first, then follow up with the Win 7 install.

In either case, in the end it will be a destructive install, as 32-bit win 7 to 64-bit win 7 cannot be done without a complete wipe of the OS. Otherwise, you'll have to reinstall a previous OS anyhow, which means a clean wipe.

do a full disk backup (windows method is fine)

also do a migration wizard so you don't loose any of your existing windows setting.
