So last night I had a dream where I was listening to Grado SR60 for the first time and I was amazed how good they sounded. Mids were very nice and suprisingly soundstage was quite large.

Should I buy them? I think I really want to even though I have plenty of headphones and I don't really need any more. I never listened to any Grado or Alessandro before.

Unfortunately I cannot buy Grado in Australia.

These are my only choices

Headphonic: Browse Products | Headphonic: Australian Headphone Specialists: Buy Etymotic, Alessandro, Audio Technica, Ultimate Ears, Talisman, Meier Audio and more

So, MS1 or MS2?

if you want to buy local, get the MS1 (the ms2 was too harsh for my ears). Then you can go crazy with modding (the ms1000 looks very nice). FWIR it has pleasing results.

imo, anyway.

Yeah I was just reading comments on headphones.com.au and many people complaing they're too harsh and fatiguing. I have to turn down 10k by -5db on 990pro so that I can listen to them for more than 10 minutes, so I don't know if I'd like MS2 sound. MS2 are also a lot more expensive now.

Maybe the question I should ask is, are MS2 brighter than 990pro?

i didnt try a 990 pro, but the ms2 is very bright. Plus I want to see another ms1000 because it looks so nice.

edit: imo you could probably wait till you have more money and the $ is a bit stronger and go over to america and buy all the phones you want.
but I really like headphonic, great customer service/support with regarding to my 770 that died on the first day (which i then managed to fix by hand), so giving them money cant hurt. More stores need that kind of attitude.

Hmmm, Headphonic is definitely not a local

OP does not mention whether he has a local store nearby.

Considering shipping price Headphonic may charge, buying directly would be a bit cheaper.

Well I'm in Melbourne and I already bought 3 or 4 products from headphonic. They're very good.

I don't like buying used especially if its from overseas.

I'll probably get MS1 first just to see if I like sound signature or not. I really want to experience Alessandro/Grado sound. I guess MS1 will be a good start.
