I had to buy a new standard cable for my HD580, the old one had interm. connections. So, now I have two spare connectors and I want to try to build a more esotic cable with them.
The connectors are molded to the cable so how can I detach them in a way I can still reuse for the new cable?
What sort of cable do you think is well suited for the project?
I guess I need some quad conductors cable. What about Straight Wire Symphony II?

Either solder on to the old connectors' wire (which seems pointless) or join us all in figuring out how to make a DIY Senn plug........lol

It was impossibile to pull the pins out. I cut the connector in half as precisely as possible along the molding line. I hope to manage to solder the pins to the new cable, put them back in the connector and glueing the two halves togheter. A bit of heatshrink tube and maybe I will get a connector not too hugly.
Any suggestion for the cable?
