I have been trying for ages to get Kernel Streaming to work in MediaMonkey with my Av-710. I was messing around last night and I got the Kernel Streaming to work on optical out with the Kernel Streaming winamp plugin and the Envy control panel set to 2 speakers and 44.1 khz.

I am so excited because the only program I have found thus far that has been able to do Kernel Streaming was foobar and I hate foobar(I absolutely love Media Monkey...it's kind of unhealthy). I'm running Vista btw, and know some people had problems with Kernel Streaming in Vista.

Just announcing my accomplishment to those who would listen.

Ha, good question. Really not much, it seems a bit clearer, but of course that can be a number of things.

What did change is piece of mind. i won't worry about not having kernel streaming.
