So basicaly I needed a new pair of headphones. I used to have some ER4P's but I sold them cause I needed the money. Anyway I didn't want to pay a lot and I didn't want to do any research. So I just went to Best-Buy and picked a pair out. I got the phillips HP-430. It was around $43. I got home and I was really surpirsed how much it sounds like the Bose Tri-Ports. I have liked the sound but I never justified spending $120 when I knew there were much better phones out there. The Phillips are really great. Specially for only $40. So if you like the sound of Tri-Ports but don't want to spend $120 then I really recomend these to you.

Phillips does make some good sounding headphones, and I liked what I heard out of the Phillips SHP895 the first time I auditioned it.

Curious as to how the SHP1000 sounds like though...
