After 7 years, I finally did it, I lost my ER-4Ps. As I recall, I payed about $180 for them on sale back then. Looking for a new pair, I was a bit sticker shocked to to find the ER-4PT (identical) is no less than $299 anywhere. Are there any equivalent, alternative balanced armature IEMs these days?
I have hearing loss, so I greatly value (outright require) the ER-4P's "midrange forward" sound signature and exceptional accuracy even when pushed quite hard. I have conductive hearing loss, so I *have* to push them hard.
The ER-4Ps were literally the only way I could truly hear and enjoy full range music - hearing aids are designed to reproduce speech clearly, not music; they only have a frequency response roughly between 100-7600 Hz. Yeah, "Ug"!
I looked in the FS forum and didn't see anyone selling a pair.
Any advice or info would be *greatly* appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug
