Zen V:M -->DIY LOD-->Tomahawk-->Shure E500. This has great synergy! The E500's really make a difference. I've went from the E3's to the E4's to the E500's. They really do have the next feature the other doesn't. I really should have just plunged in and got the E500s right of the bat...but I didn't have head-fi to help. I have a 2G Nano on the way as well. I hope to get my portable rig smaller...Thanks for reading.

Bass really isn't that bad. I don't enjoy a lot of bass so this is perfect!

Congratulations. Please be carefull handling the phones as the isolation wire at the point contacting the phones might break/damage after a couple of month. I think this is a weak spot.
