It's an interesting attempt to explain the causes behind the subjective matters that control soundstage, and matches up pretty closely to my experiences comparing my HD650s to my 325i goldies.

Have you seen the video they put up somewhere? Shows exactly how the environment was set up for the recording- they used an airy, terra-cotta-ish room, and moved around to adjust the relative volume of the instruments in the recording. Also, there is a clay pot solo.
