I can purchase them at a good price ( it's relative because where i live audio gear is very expansive .

i have Graso Sr80 ( Which i really really Love ) and i "drive" them with Iriver H120 , No amp .

I listen to rock mainly ,
progressive metal , Progressive rock , and some metal .

Should i purchase the A900 ?
even though i don't have an amp .

It's going to be different from your SR80, but you might like it a lot. A lot of people like them around here.

You don't need an amp to drive it.

Thats Good news to me , bad news to my wallet ( Lol ) ,
which kinda contradicts , at least in my case .

Mostly i listen to music at 90/100 with my grado ( which are 32 impedance )
how much will i need to turn it up with the A900 ?

SR80: 32 Ohm, 98 dB/mW
A900: 40 Ohm, 101 dB/mW

Given that impedance figures are kinda meaningless (they are for 1KHz signal only, IIRC) and that A900s are closed and probably don't need to be driven as loud... I'd say same volume or even a bit less than your Grados?

That's REALLY loud... are you sure you aren't hurting your ears!?
