I stumbled across a seller on eBay UK (who I believe is a member on here) who is selling a really nice PCB for cMoys for £3.50, so I thought "why not" and hit Buy it Now!
After a few emails to the seller, he included the required resistors (for free!), the Alps switching pot and a rail splitter (for a fee)...
He also helped me to choose the right bits from Maplins to make the amp work, which was really nice of him.
So, I went over to Maplins HQ this afternoon and bought all the bits (Capacitors, IC mount thingy, LED, LED Bezel, Alloy Knob, 3.5mm Sockets, wire, Hammond Case etc...) and I built it all tonight.
I already had a bunch of BB Opamps, so I used one of these.
Well, I'm listening to it now and it sounds pretty damn good! It sounds a bit different to my evilfire cMoy, maybe a bit cleaner sounding? I can't really describe it... It might be down to the different opamp? Anyway, it's not in the hammond case yet as it got a bit late to start drilling lol... That's a job for tomorrow.
DIY is cool
