Hey guys, I have a pair of Denon AHD5000s which Ive owned for over 5 years now. Anyways, long story short I stood up from my desk one night and the headphones came with me. They broke at the most vulnerable spot, right where the hinge connects the can and the band/swivel. BTW I live in the US.

As you can clearly see Ive basically beaten the hell out of these headphones trying to find a fix, In my panic I initially cleared out all the broken stuff I could then attempted a handful of jerry rigs for it. First try I used basically every type of glue you could find, non worked. Second try I used a fat screw mounted to the top of the hole, then zip tied a loop around the cup band and inside of screw(screw kept the ziptie in place and from sliding off) this worked in holding it against my head but it didnt settle right on my ear/head, felt wrong so I moved on. Third attempt I drilled a small hole all the way through (.4 mm drill bit) to run a small piece of metal through it, then rapped the metal around the non folded side of the cup band however I couldnt get the metal to stay snug with the plastic(and the sharp angles). Maybe I should point out that I do not have any of the original parts to this either.

Ive researched a lot of possible options such as;

https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/354t6n/denon_ahd5000_hinges/    -which more or less directed me to a headfi post and 2 buy sites CHS and SST, one of which you have to call and both appear to be in the UK

After some googling and head aches I found a guy that did the exact same thing I did.

http://www.avsforum.com/forum/89-speakers/1387164-denon-ah-d5000-repair.html  - about the 3rd post down there was a great breakdown of the piece I broke and he actually links to the headfi post with all the part numbers but I dont need help in the disassembly part.

Does anyone know if these part numbers still exist?
Does anyone know where I can get these parts in the US or even better a site that I can order from?
If not, does anyone know of a good screw+nut kit that might work?
Also I should point out Im a wood guy, should I use any special kind of bit? I have very small bits but Im worried Ill crack the cup band being that its so thin.
Or does anyone know a better way or perhaps any ideas?

But worst come to worst, do you guys know any good places that fix headphones specifically? I saw lawton audio and might try to contact them to see what they say.

Thank you in advance, I'm hoping there's another option out there....other then buying some Fostex's.

I didn't read your whole post, sorry. But here are some parts you need to fix it, based on what I'm seeing in the pictures.

I know they say they're for Fostex, but they will work for your D5K as well.
