I'm sorry if you are considering to buy it, but it pops if you pause it and leave it there for more than like 30 seconds.

How badly?

The DX100 (at least when I owned one, with an early firmware, don't know if it's properly sorted with newer firmwares) had a pop that could burst your eardrums and send your $1000 multi-BA CIEM up in a cloud of smoke.

While it isn't comfortable, and I plug in my IEM's after turning on the DX100 and unplug when turning it off, I can't imagine it rupturing your eardrums.

Nonetheless, I stand by the spirit of my earlier remark - the DX100 (with the earlier firmware, at least) pops shamefully loudly, and it did leave my ears ringing on severall occasions, and leave me with major concerns about the potential for damage to my various pairs of CIEMs (including the very expensive SE-5s)

However, I will qualify my concerns by adding that, in spite of the loud popping (and in spite of the god-awful lack of hardware control buttons and appalling battery life), I am still a big fan of the DX100. It sounds absolutely fantastic.

Thanks again lin0003! Waiting for your impressions with Miracle.

My miracles seem to just refuse to come though

. I will take a trip down to Addicted To Audio and compare it to the DX100 and the AK100 personally. BTW, the pop is about as loud as when you normally play music. From Mython's description, I believe that the HDP-R10 pop is significantly less than the DX100 one.

That could do the trick and save our iems as well as our ears

Hey AmberOzL, I will never sell my HDP-R10
size]
, that I still wait... Send normally today. From what I heard with the DX100 (old fw) and the HDP-R10 (latest firmware), the pop is lesser. As less as I don't ask me if it damages my CIEM, because I come from the Pico Slim, a tiny amp that pops so louder :( I'm pretty interested if an industry sponsor of Head Fi, as JH, the Wizard or Tralucent, could expose the real risk of it.

No, but I do intend to. Just having a lot of health challenges this past year, which has had an impact upon my finances.

I like the spaciousness of presentation of the Miracles.
