How do I get the EQ to remember my settings?

Everytime it is switched off and on again, it returns to stock setting.

Do I really have to alter the EQ every single time I use the thing??

Very frustrating!!

It just returns to its own default settings when switched off.

Is there a little battery inside or something that needs changing???

Anyone else had this problem??

Its a real pain!!

You have to make sure the user (USR) option (out of NOR, ROC, JAZ, CLA, POP, VOC, USR) is selected on the EQ screen when you change it. If you change the EQ settings on the presets, I think they will revert to their original settings after restart.

Tried the sugested remedy, but still the same problem. I am also getting very little battery life from the M3, about 6 hours. Iam recording in 320kbps though.

I bought the player second hand off E bay, and it is a nice unit in good condition, but I am thinking about another player alresdy due to the EQ memory fault and poor battery life. I am also finding the sound rather bass heavy with my new Westone UM2's.

Reccomended solutions???
