I am wondering about taking the plunge and purchasing some major upgrades soon, But I am not sure if the components I want to put together will match with each other .

First I will purchase a 100 GB HD for my Ipod Video.
Second I will get the Redwine Audio Imod.
Third, Purchase Grado RS1.
Fourth get the Jumbo Cryo X Silver iMod Cable from ALO.
Fifth, Purchase either a Hornet or SR-71 amp.

I listen to Black Metal mainly and I want good definition with Synths, Bass, Mids, and highs. I don't necessarily want a very aggressive sounding rig either. I just want to be able to hear every element of the music at portable perfection.

Does this seem like a good setup, and Which amp would you prefer considering what I am looking for generally?

Thanks for your time.

Regards.

If you're going portable...the RS1 is one of the worst choices. It is made of sexy expensive wood, and the cord is godly horrible to take care of while you're on the move.

Try the UE triple.fi 10 Pro, Shure E500, or upcoming Westone 3.
