So I got the HyperX Cloud II and I wanted to plug it directly into my sound card which has separate audio and mic ports.
It only has a 4 pole jack.
I purchased this: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-MUYHSFMM-Headset-Splitter-Adapter/dp/B0058DOWH6
It works for the audio side perfectly but for some reason when I record the mic it only plays back in the left ear.
When I use the USB Adapter that came with the HyperX Cloud II it records and plays back through both ears.
When I plug in my older headset which has separate audio and mic jacks the mic records and then plays back through both ears, so I can only assume it is the adapter.
Is there anyway to correct this? Is the adapter faulty?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
