Right now my configuration is My Striker soundcard > Darkvoice 336i > HD600's.
I honestly have no idea how good this card is. I had it before I started my head-fi splurgeathon. I've been looking at DACS like the EMU-0202 and the 0404. I've seen some posts on the Claro+, but never any helpful ones on the Striker. Newegg reviews the card very well, but the people there don't tend to be audiophiles. Has anyone heard this card, or a comparable one with a similar chipset? How does its SQ rank?
I'm basically curious if the Striker is way way below the other parts of my audio chain. Would an upgrade to, say, an EMU-0404 PCI be massive? I don't really know how I could test any other DAC's.
