Is there a way to isolate the 3.5mm headphone port and the RCA plugs? Ideally I'd like to be able to swap between the two from within Windows since I have my headphones plugged in to the 3.5mm port and by desktop speakers to the RCA R/L ports.

Currently audio comes out of both of them equally and I just let me headphones play sound 24/7 even when I'm also listening through the speakers but I'd prefer to be able to switch back and forth between them.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

I don't believe that there is. I just unplug the headphones.

That sounds good in theory except my computer is down and away under my desk. Sounds like I many need to get a 3.5mm extension cable to have the connection close by.

That's exactly what I do. I'm not at a desk I'm on a sofa. I unplug the headphones from the extension.
