Hey guys,

Been reading through the forums and saw lots of good op-amp recommendations.

One common recommendation is the LME49720HA.
Would you recommend that for my Sennheiser HD 555's? I'm looking at upgrading to the HD 700's soon, if that makes a difference.

And if that is a good recommendation, what adapters would I need to install them?

Thanks!

I have the HD555s and have listened to them with LME49720HA .
I 'd say that they match pretty good.
The thinner-than-OPA2134 sounding LME's tend to balance and slightly liven up the smooth sound of the HD555's.
I don't know however if they'll match the HD700's
Normally no adapter is needed. You'll just have to bend/form and trim the legs in order to fit the DIP bases (watch out orientation of the opamp).

Thanks for the reply!

So the LME's should fit in the existing sockets on the card, no problem/no adapter?
If so, I'll order them tonight! :)

Any other recommendations on opamps for the card?

I've had these headphones for about 3 years now. They sound much better than your average run-of-the-mill headphones (obviously). Richer bass, mids, and highs. I recommend downloading the latest drivers from HT Omega's website, then double-click on HT Omega driver icon in your taskbar tray, and use the ROCK setting under voices/presets.

Said voice/preset sounds the best for all genres of music, in my experience! REALLLLLLY livens up the HD555!
