I am currently running my audio (FLAC on PC) through an HRT Music Streamer ii DAC to Klipsch 2.1 Pro Media speakers.  I'd really like to upgrade my speakers for better clarity and soundstage etc, and I've always heard great things about tube amps.  My budget is around $1000 for speakers and amp.

Would upgrading to the following speakers and tube amp be worth the $1000 upgrade? Would you recommend something different?  Maybe my DAC would be the limiting factor and upgrading anything would be pointless?  Help!

Specs:

HRT MS ii DAC (i already have this)

Full Scale output 2.25 Volts RMS
Frequency Response (20 Hz/20kHz) 0dB/-.4dB
Noise Floor (DC -> 30 kHz) 25 uV
S/N Ratio (DC -> 30 kHz) 99 dB
THD+N (1 kHz FS 44.1 kS/s) .002%

JoLida JD102B Tube Amp ($550)

Bandwidth: 14Hz to 80KHz + 3dB; 0dB = 20 W 1KHz, 8 ohms
Distortion THD + N: Less than 1% at 20W output, 39Hz to 10KHz, 8 ohms
Input Sensitivity: Max. 600mV for 20 watt output at 1KHz
Output Impedance: 4 ohms and 8 ohms
Signal & Noise Ratio S/N: 70dB below rated output from 10Hz to 200Khz

That looks like quite a decent choice. I dont know about the speakers... i feel Klipsch speakers are a little too bright, just on my experience. Why not look at some PSB speakers? They always get great reviews, especially the affordable PSB Alphas. Im just not a fan of "horns" on the Klipsch speakers.
