What do you guys recommend? I'll have the MK IV SE acting as a preamp.

How do they compare to the M8083?
I'll be using the MK IV SE as a preamp and my power amp has a tube prestage so I am only looking for something of HQ and very neutral sounding.

Those Telefunken are hard to find indeed.

I'm looking for a high quality matched and tested pair of NOS Telefunken 6AM6S/EF91 tubes in original box. I'm interested in the Special S-version ones w/ oversized black plate, w/ top and side getter.

I only have one set of the Telefunkens and I can't remember off hand how the M8083s compare as its been a few months since i've heard the Mullards..but the Telefunkens impressed me with their neutrality from lows to highs...

Where did you get them?
Are you willing to sell them?
Do they have the same caracteristics that I am looking for?

I was proposed the Brimar 6AM6 / CV4014tube fro their ''outstanding neutrality and lack of coloration''.

Does anyone have info on the quality and sound caracteristics of the Brimar?
