Just wanted to list a few good ideas for HP use especially this day and age.
Please, by all means, add to the list.
When in public, always choose a seat with nothing but a wall behind you. You want to force anyone approaching you to do so from your direct front view.
When at home, if you have a pet, try to have them in the room with you, especially if it is a dog. Old Rover will let you know if something is going on while you jam.
Running with buds while fun, is not a good idea. If there is anyway you can run in a large field, do so. This will increase the chances of seeing anyone approaching, even if from the rear. They used to make some sunglasses with a built in review mirror. Might be handy while running with buds.
If with a buddy, have the buddy and your self facing different angles while seated to increase your view.
Just remember, when using HP's or Buds, you have given up a very important sense. You will not be able to tell if being approached by some one trying to do you harm from the rear. keep your head on a swivel.
Use your head when you HeadFi.
