This being a headphone-exclusive forum, i'm sure this has linked to before, but I found this wonderful page of various famous headphones modeled by well-drawn anime girls
Headphone+musume
This one in particular reminded me of a model I had long forgotten
I did some research and AKG has a newer model of that kind as well.
Anyway they look like outstanding headphones and something I would seriously consider buying, but I need help.
here, we have the closed-back design
AKG Personal Audio - K 272 HD
And this is the open-ended design
AKG Personal Audio - K 242 HD
I see obviously that the closed-in ones are designed with sound isolation in mind, but i'm not concerned with that. I hear that the open-ended ones might have a better over-all handing of frequency too.
Does anyone have any further insight on open/closed design they can give me? Would the closed design have more ideal/deeper low end coverage?
If it matters, I lean toward the extreme side of the music spectrum myself. I also can't get enough low-freq, bass intensive music, so low-end is a huge plus
- thanks
