I'm looking to buy a new laptop (my Dell 5100 is giving all the "warning signs.."), and I'm looking at buying the Apple MacBook.
I know how to use OSX (my Uni uses eMacs), and I'd be just fine with that... but how's the build quality? I ask, because my Dell Inspiron developed (during the first 18 months) cracks at the two lower corners. No mistreatment, just carrying it in a LAPTOP BACKPACK with one or two textbooks.

Also... is the black model more durable? I've heard that some parts of it are made of metal instead of the white MacBook's plastic.
