How would I hook up AKG 1000s to an integrated amp?

Or any headphone for that mater. I've always used the studio plugs, like on pre-amps. Do some of you go barewire to the speaker binding post?

My situation is a strange one, I have a Cayin/Spark Audio 300B integrated amp that has 9 watts of output. My 300B puts out 9 watts per chnl and can drive 4 ohm loads, I have about 200 to spend on AKG1000 if I keep the amp.

I guess my question is should I sell the amp to fund the purchase of the AKG1000 and a Norh Se9 oe,MG HEAD DT/OTL32 or just ry out my integrated.

I've listened to the HD600 and I like them, but I'm switching from a speaker system. (cain & cain abby's)

the K1000s come with an adapter that has a 4 pin plug on one end, and a pair of tinned bare wire ends on the other. You can hook-up the tinned wire ends on the adapter to the binding posts of your Caiyin. And if you can get them for $200, let us all in on the source. Unless they are pretty banged up, I would imagine you would need to spend almost twice that.
