I've been looking at KSC75 driver mods, and now I'm a bit curious how using Grado aluminum shells and chambers along with velour or wool-wrapped L-cush pads along with some cheap headband wrapped in either leather or fake fur, with KSC75 or Portapro drivers, would sound.
 
Of course a recabling for the KSC75 or Portapro drivers would be in order, and as for a grille, just some wire mesh seems like it would be the best to use.

This is eactly what I am currently doing, I'm getting the cups turned at the moment, I have the drivers waiting and picked up an old non-functional pair of headphones for the head band.... now just waiting to get all the parts together.....
