I'm IT/digital engineering student. So I know somethings about what happens in a DAC and trust it a bit more than most here it seems. Tubes are just insanely untrustworthy in comparison. Its like the difference between a really well trained soldier and a hippie - while the soldier is million times more precise, trustworthy, pratical, fearless and aggresive etc. etc. the hippie however often have some pretty groovy vibes to chill with. Impossible to combine like trying to breed Gradio's with hearing aids.

Hmmm.. Hearing aids with a sound signiture anyone?
