I am building a tube-poweramp-kit and everything is going great so far, but I can't figure out how to wire the volume-pot.

It has 2 rows of 3 pins. My guess is these are IN, OUT and GROUND for each channel, but which is which?

Thanks!

This is a thorny question. If it's ALPS, let shaft facing you, front row (RIGHT CHANNEL) from right to left: GND, OUT, IN; ditto for back row (LEFT). This is your best best.

However, I saw other connection schemes. If the above doesn't work, you have to use your multimeter connecting to any two pins and turn the pot. If you see the resistance value change... You got picture.

*General Statement Alert*

Most pots have the out in the center. Also most pots are made to increase the volume when turned clockwise. So here is my attempt at a picture representation.

OK, that worked fine. This is a gross generalazation. Anyway if it doesn't work, try again.

Thanks templeboy and CaptBubba! It's GROUND, OUT, IN on my pot and it's working now.
