I have a pair of DT770s and I'd like to wash the padding on the cups. Is it ok if i just throw it in a machine with my clothes, or is there any specific way?

I clean mine with an antiseptic hand-wipe. Make sure to let it dry. Works great, no need to remove from headphones.

Just for fun, I threw the old DT770 pads in with the clothes, and ran them a full washing cycle. I had gotten new pads anyway.

I thought this was going to damage the old pads, but no, they came out clean and undamaged. I could only find a short crack in the black plastic edge that holds the pads to the housings, but that could've been there before I washed them.

So, even the pads on a Beyer are very robust. :)

But...I can't guarantee the same result for you.
