Recently, I received a request from my friend. He has a severe hearing impairment and wished to amplify the volume of his cell phone via headphone amp.

Here is how you can use your Headphone amp to tackle this task. When you have an incoming call, you just activate the speakerphone feature.

 1. Connect the 3.5mm mini cable from the headphone of your cell phone to the ipod input of your headphone amp.  If you don’t have this feature( ipod input) on your headphone amp, you need a RCA to 3.5mm cable.

 1. Some cell phones require a 2.5mm jack instead of 3.5mm. In this case, a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor is needed.

 1. When you have an incoming call, you just activate the speakerphone feature of your cell phone.

 1.
 2.  Once you have activated the speakerphone feature of your cell phone, you will hear the voice in your headphone amp. You can control the sound level of your cell phone with  your headphone volume to fit your needs.
.

It is very easy to expand the usage of your headphone amp to cell phone amplifier.
