I am attempting to used more than one (specifically 3) LED in my CK2III amp. The amp has a place for the LED on the board that runs at 30V and an accompanying spot for a resistor of the proper value. In order to wire more than one LED, how should they be wired?

bridge/shunt the resistor pad. Make the resistor part of your parallel LED network. Each LED gets their own resistor. You can change intensity, use various LEDs as well.

So just everything in parallel with separate resistors?

You can put the LEDs in series.

If you put them in parallel, each needs its own resistor. Otherwise, you can kiss one of them goodbye.

Thanks for that. I sort of figured that something bad if they didn't have their own resistors.

I would recommend putting them in parallel with their own resistors, this was they all get the same voltage. If you put them in series the last one may not even light up or be dimmer than the first.

Yeah. That is what I'll do. That way I don't have to worry about calculating the different voltage drops and the such.
