Can I burn the audio of a dvd to store on a cd or on my net md player ?
I use to hookup my home based cdrw to my dvd player to do this but about week ago I bought a computer with a dvd player and thought it might be cool to have it compressed on my netmd's. Please if someone knows how try to be as simple as possible cause am not computer literate.
Thanks

very easy, just takes a little time and some hard drive space:

use a dvd ripper with stream processing like dvddecrypter (www.dvddecrypter.com) to rip the audio section of the vob's to a file. you should get an ac3 file with this. a lot of concert/music dvds now tend to have a "pcm stereo" track though, so if your's has it you can probably skip the next step.

then decode the ac3 to wav using ac3dec or something.

then use something to downsample the wav file from 48khz to 44khz. i prefer cool edit.

you can then use a program like cdwav to split it up into tracks easily.

that's how i'd do it, though there are plenty of ways.
