Last week , I bought Pioneer XDP 100R for $299. This is my first Android device. Bear with me -- I can't figure out how to stream music from XDP to my marantz AV receiver.
It is fairly easy in my iOS device because marantz AV receiver supports Airplay.
How can Android beam music through wifi? I know there is Chromecast HDMI stick. But does every Android App, such as bundled music player, need to support chromecast protocol? There is also DLNA protocol.
I believe wifi streaming protocol like Airplay, Chromecast and DLNA may compress audio again in a loss manner from XDP. So is it possible to send decoded PCM over wireless directly to AV receiver?
TIA
