Heya gang, I just got my 1st set of hifi headphones (had hd555s to this point only) and these hd600 are very nice. I use them for gaming atm, and I am plugging them straight into my xfi xtreme music card of my computer.Now since these are high impedance, an amp might be required to get the most of them. However, my uncle has this system controller amp lying around (JVC ax-66) and I am wondering if it would be possible for me to hook this up to my PC and have it amplify the cans? Also, I am wondering what settings of x-fi will give best sound separation and sensitivity, required for gaming? I started to fudge with the EQ settings, but that is turning to be a very blind chase for settings. Good to meet you all!
